This weekend we decided to try and take Agnes from our house to my parents house in New Harmony all on dirt roads. We had found a way from our house, across Quitchipa (sorry for my spelling), to Bumblebee Road. Brett and I were certain that we would be able to follow Bumblebee Road all the way to New Harmony. So Saturday, we loaded up and headed out. We went up dead end road after dead end road and finally discovered that there isn't a dirt road that leads over Bumblebee Mountain. So after 2 1/2 hours of wandering aimlessly in the hills, we went back and took the dirt frontage road from Kanarraville (worst speller ever!) to New Harmony to have dinner with my family.
We got to relax on my grandparents lawn and watch the boys play in the sprinklers, eat dinner, take Rick and Gina for a little ride in Agnes, and visit with my family. We got a late start on the way home, but it was still a fun ride home...even at night!
Sunday, Rick, Gina, Kastle, Jeremy, Knox, Krew, Brett and I all headed up to Kolob reservoir to try our luck at fishing. We must be really unlucky because none of us even got a nibble :( But it was a beautiful day and so fun to just get out of the house and up on the mountain. After an hour or so of attempting to fish and catch crawdads, we all decided to go to Crystal and catch frogs at the pond. The drive from Kolob Res was longer than anyone expected/remembered, so once we got to the cabin Rick and Jeremy decided to just go to the little ponds by the cabin instead of driving to the other pond where we had originally planned. Even though it was smaller and there weren't nearly as many frogs, my brothers still managed to catch quite a few frogs and get a little muddy :)
There was a lot of time driving over the weekend, but it was very much worth it to get out of the house and spend time with the people who matter most...family.
