Easter 2013

This past weekend was Easter weekend and it was busy!

Friday, my sweet mother and father in law dropped off mine and Brett's Easter baskets. I got an Easter dress and Brett got a new shirt and pants. After we went out to check heifers at 9pm, we came home to find our house had been "egged" by someone in our ward. We had a note on our door that we had to find 12 Easter eggs hidden in our yard. I am pretty sure we weren't suppose to see it until the morning, but I was so excited that we had an Easter egg hunt in the dark.

Saturday morning we drove out to the New Harmony Easter Egg Hunt. Knox, Krew, and Kastle were so dang cute! They found plenty of prizes and even got to hold a cute little bunny.

After that, Brett and I drove to Hurricane to see the car show. It may not be "my kind of thing" but it was well worth it because Brett really enjoyed it.
After the car show we met my family out by the Washington Dam for a little picnic. It was good to get to see all of my family and spend a little time with them...even though it was hotter then heck! Most of the family cooled off by going down to the creek to catch frogs (a favorite past time of my mom and aunts).
Sunday morning, Brett and I loaded up our dirt bikes and headed around the mountain to Hogsheaven to spend some time with his family. Unfortunately, things didn't go quite as planned. My KX250 wouldn't start after an hour and a half of kicking and push-starting. His family came down the mountain right as we were getting ready to load up. But we did get to stop at Oscars in Zion for lunch! After lunch, Brett decided to show me the old cemetery and ghost town of Grafton. It is amazing to me that something so neat is sitting right in our backyard and I'd never even heard of it. It was cool to see the cemetery and buildings and read about the history.
