The Parade and Carving Pumpkins

Every year my wonderful mother in law puts together the parade for the Livestock Heritage Festival. Brett is designated to drive the old blue truck that tows the Christensen Cow Camp (we don't do sheep, so it is not a sheep camp!). It is so awesome to be a part of this Festival. It seems like it grows more and more every year too!
After spending the day at the Diamond Z Arena and checking out some of the fun that was going on there, we headed out to New Harmony to carve pumpkins with my family. Brett will tell you that I am a big kid when it comes to holiday decorations and traditions. I LOVE IT! And my family will tell you that I sometimes go a little overboard.
We carved this pumpkin and my family had to harass me a little for going a little overboard, but I love my pumpkin. Kastle, however, was a little intimidated by our pumpkin when Rick and Gina tried to get him to sit next to it ha ha!

This is the kind of stuff that makes me homesick when I come back to Ephraim, but I know that it is not permanent. I can't believe that I use to take this for granted. I guess it's true that distance makes the heart grow fonder.
