California Trip - Day 1

It's been a while since we posted, but this trip is too good not to share. Brett and I have been wanting to go on a trip for a while now. We originally wanted to go to Hawaii or Cancun, but we aren't at the point where we could really afford that yet. We saved for quite a while and decided on a week vacation in California.

We started our trip off with a stop in Las Vegas. We have two good friends that live there, Chad and McKennan, and decided that this would be a great opportunity to stop and visit them for a night. We spent the night hanging out at the Red Rock Casino, where Chad works. We went to dinner and then spent a couple of hours in the casino. It was a gorgeous hotel!

The next day, we decided to stop at Bass Pro Shop on our way out of town. It has been a few years since we had been there and it is one of my favorite stores. I love all of the mounts that they have, plus the aquarium with mermaids is always fun.

                      

We did hit traffic on the way down, so we didn't get to spend much time at the beach, but at least we made it!
