Valentines and Gun Show

This year for Valentine's Day, Brett got me fish!  My mom gave us a fish tank that she wasn't using, so we cleaned it up Wednesday and went to pick out some fish the next day. Brett really wanted an Oscar (wasn't too thrilled about it at first, but I've grown quite fond of them) and then he let me pick the rest.  We ended up with an Albino Oscar, a sucker fish, two tetras (one pink and one blue), and a bright yellow chichlid. We named our fish Oscar, Scummy, Pinky, Brain, and the yellow fish (couldn't think of one for him).

Kaiser discovered our fishies!
And of course, my dad didn't disappoint.  He snuck out to Meredith's house while she was doing my hair to kick me my Valentine's. Everyone has their holiday or even that they are good about celebrating and my dad's is definitely Valentine's.  I look forward to it every year because of him.

I love my Daddy! Always knows how to make me feel special
As most of you now know, Brett has started his own business called Outlaw Action Sports. His shop deals with everything outdoors; from guns and fishing to ATV's and camping. Brett and his partner Pat started full swing into things at the beginning of this year. They have a store down on 800 W. in Cedar City, but Saturday and Sunday their store had their first public debut at the Crossroads of the West Gun Show in St. George, Utah.  I tagged along to help out where I could (mostly just the errand girl and helping with the Undaunted section of the booth).  I am so proud of these two for what they have done and what they are trying to accomplish.  They had great success at the Gun Show and are looking into a couple more events later in the year. Make sure that if you need anything outdoor related or repairs on any ATV's, dirt bikes, snowmobiles, or anything of the like that you give them a call! 435-865-6802

Unfortunately, Saturday morning our Oscar died.  We called the pet store and they told us we could come pick out a new Oscar the following Wednesday.  Then, more sadness, all the other fish, besides the yellow fish, died on Wednesday! I tried to warn Brett that I was bad luck with fish and he didn't believe me, but I think he does now :)  Today we went to replace our Oscar. We decided to spend a little extra and get a really big Oscar. Because this is the second Oscar that we had, his name became Oscar Junior - Junior for short. Brett decided the little yellow fishes name when he let Junior (who is 10x the little yellow guy's size) go in the fish tank and he attacked Junior!  Brett said that he had the attitude of a Jack Russell -  hence his name Russell.

Russell (far left by the plant) and Junior (obvious)
