We're goin' to Jackson

Brett managed to keep our entire honeymoon a secret until we got to about Fillmore. I had never been to Jackson Hole or Yellowstone, so it was really special for me. We woke up the morning after our wedding and drove to Jackson.

When we got there we went to the Million Dollar Cowboy Bar, which was really neat.

The first day there we went and took old western pictures in one of the shops in the square, shopped a little bit, and then our first big event...White water rafting! It was super fun, because I've never done it before and about halfway through the trip we pulled off on the side of the river and had dinner.  Never thought that a dinner that had been hauled down river, cooked with about 20 other meals in 20 minutes, on the side of the river under a little tent canopy would be so good, but it was the best salmon I had ever had!

The second day we drove over to Teton Village to check out a little waffle shop that we had heard about from a friend.  We had to ride an air tram up to the top of the mountain and the waffle shop was in a rickety old shack, but they definitely lived up to their reputation.

That night we got the opportunity to go see the Bar-J Wranglers on their turf.  The entertainment was hilarious, food was good, and music was great.

The third morning we woke up and headed to Yellowstone, where we saw so many waterfalls, mountains, landmarks, and critters.

We stayed that night at Dani's house in Pocatello, Idaho and went to the Lava Hot Springs with her and Addie the next day.  I had been to those with Dani the year before, but it was a first for Brett. It was so much fun to cool off and play in the water!

Our last stop(s) on the way home were in Northern Utah.  We decided to stay the night in Orem so that we could go to one of our favorite restaurants that my brother, Jeremy, and his wife, Meredith, got us hooked on and then stop at Cabela's the next day. It was so nice to get away for a few days and relax :)
